Family owned and operated restaurant - Ted, Becky, Andrew, Emily The Hook, Line & Sinker is a family owned and operated business, and we mean that in the broadest sense. Ted and Becky Luscz, the owners, met and married in St. Thomas more than twenty years ago. Becky was a scuba-diving instructor and Ted a bartender at the Quarter Deck, the business previously occupying the space which now is the Hook, Line & Sinker. Coming from several generations of German and Polish tavernkeepers and restauranteurs, Ted's dream was to one day have his own waterfront restaurant. In 1987, with two small children, Ted and Becky realized that dream.

The kids, Andrew and Emily, now young adults with careers of their own, have grown up in the Hook, Line & Sinker and are often on the premises making cameo appearances as bartenders or servers.

And then there is the rest of the family. Ted and Becky are proud of their friendly and loyal staff, many of whom have been with them from the beginning.

Lisa, our senior waitress, grew up here, and knows just about everybody. She remembers what you drink, where you live (in case you can't), and whom you dated in high school.

Lisa is joined on the daytime waitstaff by Bete, our Brazilian import and Teri, our vivacious bartender. At dinner you will be greeted by Dottie, who has worn many hats during her long tenure at the Hook, Line, including bartender, server, bookkeeper and hostess. You may be served by Belinda, a transplant from Charleston, who is also responsible for our incredible bread pudding, or Rhonda who was voted the Best Waitress in St. Thomas for 2006.

Chef Harry, who hails from Antigua, has kept our daytime kitchen running smoothly for more than 15 years, and serves up the best Sunday brunch on the island -- that is, when he can keep his mind off the cricket matches! He is kept in line by Glenette, who rules the roost in the kitchen at lunchtime, making sure that hundreds of lunches are served promptly and accurately with her own bit of Kittitian sass!

Our dinners are artfully created by Harry�s nephew Dougie, our talented and charming evening chef. His easy-going manner and friendly smile keep the staff happy and the customers coming back for more. Sam, his able assistant, also makes appearances as bartender and in-house comedian. Dougie is also assisted by Kat, a private villa chef when she�s not behind the Hook, Line & Sinker line.

These friendly folks, along with Maria, Jim, Ellen, Cathie, Shashi, Aziree, George and Sharry are thicker than brothers, sisters, mothers, and children. And it shows in the way they serve our customers.
